The final day of my three day quote challenge (thanks Anna)! and my last quote is from another amazingly talented children’s author, Roald Dahl. Dahl was born in Wales in 1916 and initially served time with the Royal Air Force during World War Two. He went on to write books for adults and children and is one of the worlds greatest selling authors to date.
Roald Dahl was my favourite author when I was a little girl and I still love sharing his beautifully written, quirky tales to my daughter. She loves his work as much as me and I believe his stories have fuelled her hunger for reading as she has been growing older. He has peaked a big interest for writing in her, which has seen her writing her own short stories and researching the man himself to find out more about him. I think he has such a superb way of reaching children with funny tales (which can be a little dark at times) but are delivered in such a brilliant, heart – warming way that his stories really appeal to kids.
The quote I have chosen is from his last children’s book, The Minpins. The quote is the very last sentence from the story and I love it! Even though life can throw all sorts at you I always try to believe in goodness and kindness (and a little magic)! In my experience, good attracts good and positivity attracts positivity…….I think people should always look for the unexpected and magical – you never know you may even find it!
Rules for the challenge –
1 – Thank the blogger that nominated you.
2 – Share one new quote on three consecutive days on your blog. They can be from anyone, anything or anywhere.
3 – On each of the three days, nominate three more bloggers to carry on the fun! No pressure; nominees are free to decline.
